All assessment decisions are verified by an Internal and External Verifier, to ensure that assessments decisions are consistent and fair. In exceptional circumstances, if the Learner disagrees with their Assessor concerning the assessment decision, the Learner has the right to appeal. Your complaint will be in writing and forwarded to the Internal Verifier, within seven days of being notified of the assessment decision. The Internal Verifier will set a date for the appeal within 14 working days of receipt, at this time the External Verifier and the Apprenticeship Manager; will also be notified. You also have the right to complain directly to your awarding body if you are not satisfied with the above outcome.
If you have an individual grievance relating to any area of your qualifications, you should firstly raise the matter with Assessor/Tutor and/or your Placement Manager, who may be able to remedy directly. However, if the matter cannot be resolved in this way, you should then contact the Apprenticeship Manager.
Beats Learning believe that all learners should be treated equally, irrespective of age, gender, race, religious beliefs, sexuality, marital status, disability, etc. If you feel that you have been denied equality of opportunity, you should follow the procedures for grievance. Equal Opportunities is a commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the workplace, or training centre and to the elimination of unlawful and unfair discrimination and values the differences that a diverse workforce brings to the organization.
There should not be any discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, disability, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, family status or any other irrelevant factor and will build a culture that values meritocracy, openness, fairness, and transparency.
Everyone should be treated fairly and according to their needs.
It is therefore important that we get to know one another as quickly as possible and generate a good working relationship. To help you start, the Team have put together this handbook to answer questions about your programme, provide information about our procedures, values and how we will work with you to support your learning aims. Some of the information will have immediate significance and other items will become more relevant later.
